Advance reservations are necessary. Full payment (per student) must accompany your reservation (payment in advance is required within 7 to 14 days of course starting date (depending on course). We accept personal checks, money orders, Mastercard® and Visa® (for late reservations please call us asap to reserve a spot with a credit card). Visit our Information site for further details.

A complete and accurately filled out registration form will allow ACAS Instructors to offer you the best climbing and wilderness experience possible. Your safety is our primary concern. If you do not feel comfortable sending us this form over the Internet, you may print a copy of this form and send it to us via US mail (see address at bottom of page).

Note: *Summer courses start at 6:30 a.m. - October thru May rock climbing courses start between 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m (depending on course and weather - call us), at the designated meeting point (see and print-out map). Call us the day before your course starts to verify. If we are not in the office please leave a message, if you do not hear back from us the course will still proceed at the above start time and meeting point.

Enclose full registration course fee (Visa®, MasterCard®, checks or money orders made out to the Arizona Climbing and Adventure School) with your application to: ACAS, P.O. Box 3094, Carefree, AZ 85377. With groups of 2 or larger (who are together), if we only receive one credit card number for that group the total amount for instruction for that group will be charged on that credit card number.

There is an additional transportation and permit fee on all Private Instruction and Guiding outside of Maricopa County. For overnight stays, an additional fee for food, lodging or camping will also apply. Call us for more information on these additional fee's/costs.

NOTE: Call us if you do not receive an email confirmation within 24 hours.

The guide/instructor has the final word on cancelling the session due to unsafe conditions or a client jeopordizing the safety of his/her life or the guides.
Note: Hotel/resort pickup in the north Scottsdale/Phoenix area is $40 per person per day (group rates are available).

ACAS also has an overnight camping packages available which include camping equipment, meals, campfires, coyotes and lots of weird climbing stories.
Cost: $55 per night per person

Tipping your instructor or guide is welcome if you're completely satisfied with their instruction or guiding.

Course Cancellations
While it is unlikely, if the Arizona Climbing and Adventure School cancels a course due to insufficient reservations or conditions beyond our control (weather, etc.); alternate dates or refunds will be given as preferred. If you cancel within 14 days prior to your session, rescheduling your course can be expected. There are no refunds on gift certificates. If you fail to show at the designated meeting place at the appointed time you will be charged for the course - there are no exceptions. If you would like to reschedule within 48-hours of the course's starting date, you may do so. To receive a full monetary refund (minus a 20% handling fee), 14 days notice is required (expect a refund within 3 billing cycles or 90-days of your course date). Liability
Although we spare no effort to assure a safe program, we can assume no responsibility for your safety or loss of personal equipment. In a sport of this nature an element of risk is inherent and beyond human control. A signed release (waiver) will be required of all participants. A parent or guardian release is required for students under the age of 18. These can be obtained in advance by contacting our office or downloading from our website.

Names, phone numbers, e-mail, mailing addresses, and other personal information are collected only as part of explicit registration processes such as requesting additional information or registering for one of our events. Our select staff are certified outdoor guides and have received extensive training from the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), Outward Bound Wilderness (OBW). the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA), Wilderness Medicine Institute (WMI), Climb Smart! and Leave No Trace (LNT) or are members and partners of the American Alpine Club, Arizona Mountain Group Association, American Safe Climbing Association, Access Fund and follow strict procedural guidelines and safety protocols set by these institutes and by the Arizona Climbing and Adventure School (ACAS).
